Nichol Mason Lazenby

Nichol Mason Lazenby, Pilates instructor, dance artist, and educator has taught throughout the country for over 15 years. Originally from Southern California, she studied under Karen Clippinger from Body Arts and Science International (BASI) and received her Pilates certification with an emphasis in dance conditioning. She went on to receive an ISSA personal training certification, B.F.A. in Dance from California State University of Long Beach, MFA degree in Dance/Choreography and Certificate in College Teaching from The University of Arizona.

Throughout Nichol’s career she had the pleasure of teaching Pilates, dance conditioning, and corrective exercise to an array of clientele that range from world class athletes to people looking to correct muscle imbalances, prevent and rehabilitate injuries, manage pain, improve posture and balance, while increasing strength, stability, flexibility, and range of motion. She strives to empower clients to create deeper connections between their mind and body, in order to move through life with intention, efficiency, and confidence.

In addition to teaching Pilates, Nichol has taught an array of dance disciplines and techniques, choreography, dance improvisation, and dance history for University of Arizona, Creighton University, University of Nebraska – Lincoln, and Pima Community Colleges. She also enjoys choreographing works for the concert stage, theater, musical theater, exhibitions, and film. This fall she will be choreographing and directing a dance film for TwoPoint4 Dance Theater in Sacramento. Currently, she is an adjunct dance professor at California State University of Sacramento where she teaches various levels of modern and jazz dance techniques, and lectures in Dance History and Dance Cultures of America. Nichol is thrilled to join the Meadow family and looks forward to connecting with and serving her community.
